If we eat more calories than we need we gain weight; if we eat the same amount that we burn up we maintain weight; if we eat less than we use up then we lose weight. If we exercise, we burn more calories and can lose weight faster.

We have done all the hard work for you in devising the diet. You just need to follow it and you will succeed. Our approach is fun, maintainable and it works.

So, throw away all those faddy diet books which are focussed on high protein, low fat, or low carb. Fad diets may seem easier to follow but they are easier to cheat at and they are harder to stick to.

All foods have calories, they are what make us put on weight. If you count what goes in then you will lose weight. And if you add in exercise to burn off some of those calories, then your weight loss will accelerate.

Think of calories as a currency

If one calorie equals £1 and you add £5 every day to your purse, but only spend £3 a day, then by the end of the week your purse will be bulging. You have got to ‘spend’ what you put in. And, to lose weight, you have to ‘spend’ more than you put in.
